|       CJV30 Series Firmware Version Upgrading Method       |

The CJV30 Series enables the firmware to upgrade via an interface cable from a computer.
In order to transmit the firmware from the computer to the plotter, Mimaki FW Version Upgrade function of FW UpdateTool ‡V shall be used.
Refer to the separate instruction manual as follows for the FW UpdateTool ‡V.

1. Upgrading the plotter firmware version.

1) Connect the plotter with computer by using a USB interface cable.
2) Turn ON powers of the computer and Turn ON the main power switch located on the side of plotter.
3) Press the REMOTE/LOCAL key while the version on the plotter is appeared on the plotter display.

| F/W UPDATING | The plotter becomes a data wait state.

4) Transmit the version upgraded file to the plotter from the computer
by using FW Version Upgrade function of FW UpdateTool ‡V.
+------------------+ When the plotter receives data, the display
| F/W UPDATING | indicates as the left. Wait for several minutes
| *** RECEIVE *** | until completion of the receiving.

+------------------+ When the plotter receives all data, the display
| F/W UPDATING | indicates as the left. Do not cut out power of
| * DOWNLOADING * | the plotter while this display appears because
+------------------+ the program is being written into the memory.

If a trouble occurs in the plotter side, the error message appears.
In such case, please contact to MIMAKI distributor.

5) Reset the plotter power ON, and end the operation.
