Lavaink Replacement Mutoh Valuejet 1604 PF Disc Encoder is not Mutoh OEM encoder sensor but it is 100% compatible with Mutoh OEM PF Disc Encoder.
Please follow our instruction to install this Mutoh PF disc encoder sensor.
- Green Cable is DC+ 5V power cable.
- Black cable is Ground cable.
- Red cable is signal A (Left)
- Blue cable is signal B (Right). If you connect wrong A and B, just switch them.
- You need to connect your OEM long cable and fitting end to our encoder to match your cable.

Mutoh Valuejet 1604 PF Disc Encoder Sensor is used for 1604 PF Disc encoder strip and so if encoder strip is dirty and encoder sensor can not read encoder strip position correctly. And printing will be Offset. That’s why when your printing has offset line and you will definately need to replace Mutoh Valuejet 1604 PF Disc Encoder. Also you can use alcohol to clean encoder strip at one way, but if there is phsyic damage at encoder strip and it will be gabage and useless. How to clean Printer Encoder Strip? You will need Isopropyl Alcohol, Cleaning Swabs and Paper Towels. Putting two drops of alcohol onto each side of the cleaning swab. Dab the swab on the paper towel to soak up any excess liquid. Wipe the exposed area of the Epson Printer Encoder Strip strip gently in one direction, do not try to scrub the strip or bend it. Repeat the cleaning for the back of the Epson Printer Encoder Strip strip. Put the machine into Cleaning Mode under the Maintenance Sub-Menu. You will now be asked to remove the maintenance cover on the left side of the printer. After the Head Carriage moves to the left side of the printer, continue to clean the area of the Epson Printer Encoder Strip strip that is now exposed over the docking area. Once the Epson Printer Encoder Strip strip has been cleaned, perform a Limit Initialization to reset the Head Carriage.
